I was taught this prayer as I prepared for my confirmation many years ago. The Catholic Brothers in my school (shown above) were convinced, as I’ve said before, that the Holy Spirit is the leader (boss) of our soul. So, if we just “shut up and listen to Him and, do what we are told,” we would be just fine in the eyes of God.
Give Me Your Orders, O Holy Spirit
Oh, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do. Give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and then accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know your will.
